Design

The Ruby is a fully hollow arch top electric  guitar.  Designed to be a responsive and vocal platform available in a variety of specifications and aesthetic finishes. Much like my acoustic guitars, the Ruby top is constructed from a solid soundboard, reinforced with spruce bracing. Before closing the box, Each top is voiced to bring out the natural tonality of the soundboard. Playability is paramount, so I spend an enormous amount of time focused on making these guitars play extremely well. Through the use of carbon fiber, meticulous material selection and precision fretwork I work my tail off to make these guitars feel like they play themselves.

  • The Ruby is a platform from which anything can be made. Custom electronic setups, hardware, wood and finishes are all on the table. Fill out an Order form to get the conversation started!

  • Ruby’s are most commonly made with a braced spruce top and carved mahogany back and neck. These are the same sourced for my acoustics. These high quality materials make for a lighter and stiffer hollow body, allowing for more tonal coloring and giving the guitar that “magic” we are after.
